Inauguration of BAI student chapter SHILPI @ ATMECE

SHILPI Inaugural function held at ATMECE on 5th of September 2014 

The Department of Civil Engineering ATMECE has organized the inaugural function of Builders Association of India Students chapter, SHILPI on 5th of September 2014 on auspicious occasion of Teacher's day. 

In the Inaugural function, Honorable chairman of BAI Mysore Mr. M C Mallikarjun graced the occasion as the chief guest While Dr. L Basavaraj, Principal ATME College of Engineering presided over the function.

The formal function got started off with an invocation from Ms. Chaya S, Chaitra C,
Ms. Damini S Raju & Ms.Kavya B G 7th semester students.

Welcoming the chief guest and other dignitaries, Mr.Srikanth M R, Asst. Prof & HOD Civil dept. presented a welcome address. He extended a warm, respectful and genial welcome to all the dignitaries, HOD’s, Fellow colleagues. He also mentioned that our students really belong to a noble group and it was indeed a pleasure to welcome them to this inaugural function.

After the welcome address the dignitaries were requested to light the lamp and inaugurate the 

BAI student’s chapter SHILPI.

Mr. Gowtham Prasad M E Asst. Prof ATMECE briefed about the chief guest 

Mr. Mallikarjun M C to the gathering. 

Our chief Guest was requested to render his speech and Mr. Mallikarjun M C Congratulated ATME Management for taking an initiative to join BAI Students chapter SHILPI. In continuation he also briefed about the Builders Association of India, its working and the benefits of being a member in this organization. Sir also inspired the students to acquaint practical knowledge with their technical knowledge.

Ms. Shruthi H G Asst. Prof ATMECE briefed about our SHILPI coordinator BAI Mysore chapter Smt Nirmala shekar to the gathering.

Smt. Nirmala Shekar heartily congratulated our management and principal on getting students registered under SHILPI BAI Mysore chapter. Continuing the address Madam gave an example from her experience and said most of the girls never thought of joining civil engineering few years back, but now it has changed, most of the civil engineers lack the practical knowledge. Madam also gave an open invitation to our faculties and students to visit a site which involves a rare type of construction procedure in Mysore by next week.

Our beloved principal Dr. L Basavaraj rendered the presidential address. Sir stressed that it is very essential to learn theoretical knowledge with practical exposure which makes learning process more interesting and enjoyable. Sir insisted students to have a look at the ongoing construction work of civil engineering block also said students that you are really blessed to have such a situation wherein you can get the practical knowledge at your kin. 

Even if any doubts persists get it clarified from your faculties who are eager to clarify.

Civil Engineering Students who have excelled in academics were felicitated by the dignitaries.

Finally Mr. Shaik Kabeer Ahmed Asst.Prof, SHILPI Coordinator ATMECE Mysore extended Vote of thanks. He genially extended vote of thanks to one and all present on the occasion.

Dear students it was really a great day and a great way to celebrate Teachers day...
We civil department thank one and all for making this Inaugural function a grand success...
We thank you all for making this day a memorable one.

I extend my heartfelt genial thanks to our management and our beloved principal Sir for guiding us in conducting this function in a short span.
